Lite Flite offer EC type certified full body harnesses for hoist operators and dispatchers.
Hoist operator harness
Lite Flite Helicopter Hoist Operator Harness is an adjustable full body harness with loop style leg straps, especially designed for the helicopter hoist operator or dispatcher. The harness is designed with a high level of safety, comfort and usability in mind.
Harness variants type approved iaw EN361 are intended to be utilised in helicopters where the hoist operator is standing outside at the skid, like the Airbus H145.
Naturally, the harness can be used on other platforms as well.
All harness variants are designed to be worn with rear crew life preserver / life jacket.
Quick release options
Our hoist operator harnesses can be equippped with a personal quick release, PQR, for emergency release by an easy to access yellow handle at the front of the harness.
If this is not wanted, the dorsal suspension point will consist of a short lanyard stub only, for attacing to a karabiner lanyard.
Dispatchers harness
Our dispatchers harness is a vest type full body harness, featuring split saddle leg straps, a large support handle at the back and the same movable lanyard attachment point as all our other gunners belts and harnesses. Due to the design, only two sizes are available, covering almost any one.
As opposed to the hoist operators harness, our dispatchers harness does not feature a dorsal attachment point.
Type certification
Lite Flite full body- and dispathers harnesses are type tested and -approved iaw European Council Regulative 2016/425 and associated European Norm EN361:2002 and/or EN358:2018 etc. The EC Regulative has replaced the old, so-called Fall Protection Directive 89/686.
Release to service is on CoC and the User Guide include an additional EC Declaration of Conformity.
All the mentioned harnesses are concidered PCDS, Personnel Carrying Device System.
